Congressman Eric Swalwell signed the condolence book at the Embassy of Serbia: America mourns with you
American congressman Eric Swalwell signed today the condolence book, which was opened at the Embassy of Serbia in the USA, after the tragedy at the "Vladislav Ribnikar" Elementary School in Belgrade.
"To the people of Serbia - America mourns with you as you grieve the loss of children, taken from your country so early and cruelly. It is the unimaginable - but it is a grief that you will not suffer alone. We are with Serbia, as Serbia has mourned with us during our times of loss," Swalwell wrote.
"Those precious children are the representatives of the future. May their loss be only in body, but not in spirit. Their innocence will live on forever, and we will never forget them. God bless the people of Serbia," the American congressman said.
By the way, the Serbian flags at the Embassy in Washington, as well as at the Mission building in New York and the consulates in New York and Chicago, were lowered to half-mast today due to three days of mourning in Serbia.
Condolence books were also opened in the consulates in New York and Chicago.
