The family of Dusan Milanovic, after a sleepless night, is still in shock, unable to comprehend what happened and why Dusan was detained and kept in custody. According to his wife Marija, it is clear to everyone that he would never do what he is being accused of.

Milanovic, the owner of VIM Info, a company operating within the Kosovo system and founder of the Kosovo Online portal, was detained for 48 hours on suspicion of allegedly committing the crime of "terrorism."

His wife Marija and their two daughters, aged seven and eleven, experienced severe trauma yesterday when police officers handcuffed Dusan and took him in for questioning.

In an interview with Kosovo Online, Marija said that Dusan was detained as soon as he got out of his car in front of their family home.

"Yesterday, when I learned that the police surrounded our house, I called Dusan. He was at work; he’s a physiotherapist and works with immobile patients. I told him that the police were around the house and asked him to come and see what was going on. Shortly after, he came here, saw the police, and asked them what was happening, what the problem was, why they were there… As soon as he stepped out of his car, he was detained," Marija recounted, still visibly shaken.

After searching the family home, Marija added, the police also came into the house where she was with her daughters.

"They are just children… We had a hard time seeing him with handcuffs on. They searched the house and then said they were taking him for questioning," said Marija.

She emphasized that everyone who knows Dusan knows that he is someone who always strives to help those in need and organizes numerous events for children and humanitarian actions for those requiring assistance.

"Everyone in Leposavic and Kosovska Mitrovica, where he works, knows that Dusan is an honorable, honest, hardworking man. We are a family-oriented people, and he has never done anything wrong or had any problems with the law," said his wife.

She pointed out that Dusan has even received an award for humanitarian work.

"He has helped many families and organized numerous activities for young people. He is not the kind of person they are accusing him of being. I know, I am convinced, that the truth will come to light. I believe in justice," said Marija Milanovic.
