Kosovo Police, who are securing the entrance to Gazimestan, do not permit Serbs who have come today to pay tribute to Prince Lazar and the Kosovo heroes to bring any Serbian symbols or light candles.

Members of EULEX are also present, and according to reports from Kosovo Online's reporter, there have been no incidents so far.

Despite the fact that this year the memorial service for the Kosovo heroes will not be held at Gazimestan due to the security situation, believers are spontaneously coming in smaller groups to pay their respects.

Representatives of the temporary authority of Pristina, as well as delegations from Central Serbia and Republika Srpska, have laid wreaths at Gazimestan today.

As a reminder, the Vidovdan memorial service, traditionally held in front of the monument to the Kosovo heroes at Gazimestan, was held this year in the Gracanica Monastery due to the seriousness of the current security situation.

Patriarch Porfirije of the Serbian Orthodox Church, during his address following the Liturgy at the Gracanica Monastery, stated that the holy sites in Kosovo and Metohija are the home of all Serbs and that we find the reason of our existence in them.
