Last night, a barn belonging to the Milenkovic family in the village of Odanovce near Kosovska Kamenica burned down, and since there were no electrical installations in the facility, it is suspected that the fire was caused by human factors, the Office for Kosovo and Metohija announced.

According to the statement, this incident is suspected to be another act of pressure and intimidation against Serbs in Kosovo, intensified after Albin Kurti's recent decision to abolish the Serbian dinar.

The roof and a thousand hay bales were destroyed by the fire, but livestock and a tractor were rescued.

Apart from the material damage inflicted on the four-member Milenkovic family, it is also emphasized that all Serbs in the Kosovsko-Pomoravski district are being told in this manner that they are unwelcome.

Representatives from the Office for Kosovo and Metohija visited the affected family on-site and assured them of assistance in repairing the damage.

In the predominantly Albanian village of Odanovce, there are about ten Serbian families, and recently, one of the Serbs had their car set on fire.

"We witness how institutional violence on a daily basis, introduced by Albin Kurti, in Kosovo and Metohija is escalating into physical attacks, with the aim of creating completely unlivable conditions for Serbs in our southern province," the statement reads.

It is added that when political structures openly manifest intolerance toward a social group without any restraint or hint of sanctions, individuals perceive it as an invitation to engage in a campaign of persecution.

The intention of Albin Kurti, as emphasized by the Office, is to force Serbs to leave Kosovo, and the campaign of violence and systematic disenfranchisement will undoubtedly continue if the "decisive reaction of the international community does not restrain and prevent the regime in Pristina from its criminal intentions."

"For the sake of humanity, as well as stability and peace in the region, Serbia once again calls on all relevant international actors to restrain Kurti and his chauvinistic campaign against the Serbian people in Kosovo," the statement concludes.
