The director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, pointed out that today during the celebration of Easter in the ancient Draganac monastery, he experienced indescribable joy with the people from the Kosovo Pomoravlje.

Petkovic, who stayed in Draganac together with bishops Teodosije of Raska and Prizren and Ilarion of Novo Brdo, distributed Easter eggs to children and talked with the residents of this area.

"Today, on Easter, on the holiday of joy, the victory of life over death here in Draganac, I saw what life means and the fact that we gathered today gives us hope to continue fighting for our people here, in Kosovo and Metohija, because if Crucified Kosovo lived to see Easter, it is clear that life will win here too," said Petkovic.

The Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija added that it was important to continue the assistance to the Eparchy of Raska and Prizren.

"We are doing everything to build these centuries-old monasteries of ours, because where the church is, the state is, that is where our nation survives," Petkovic pointed out.

Petkovic thanked Bishop Teodosije for his selfless support, but he also thanked the Serbian people and the children who "show the true joy of living".

"When that is combined with the joy of today's holiday, everything inspires us to continue fighting and to do everything we can for our people in Kosovo," concluded Petkovic.
