The seventh day of barricades in northern Kosovo - the situation is calm, citizens are waiting for news about Pantic

The seventh day of the barricades in northern Kosovo is going peacefully, but the citizens are still gathered there in anticipation of further developments and some new information about the arrested Dejan Pantic.

The cold, as well as the rain and snow from the previous days, did not affect the number of people gathered, and what's more, the number of citizens has been increasing each day.

Barricades were set up in Rudare, Srbovac, Slatina, and Lesak, on the main road Pristina - Raska, and from the road that leads from South Mitrovica to Ribarice, a barricade was set up in Varage.

Tents were set up in Rudare so that people could warm up and take shelter from the rain and occasional snow for the past few days.

Schools in northern Kosovo have been closed since Monday, and the administrative crossings of Jarinje and Brnjak have still been blocked by the Kosovo Police.

Serbs from the north blocked the road after the arrest of a Kosovo Police former member, Dejan Pantic, who obtained detention for 30 days.
