Arrest in North Mitrovica, special forces detained another Serb
Another arrest occurred this morning in North Mitrovica, as Kosovo Online has learned. Kosovo Police Special Forces have detained a Serbian man, identified as N.O., who works for a local utility company.
The arrest took place near the bus station when armored vehicles of the Kosovo Police surrounded and subsequently apprehended N.O.
As a reminder, since the arrival of Albanian mayors in municipalities in northern Kosovo, a total of eight Serbs have been arrested so far. Yesterday, residents of Gracanica and Ranilug protested against the arrest of Dragisa Milovanovic.
Protests in front of municipal buildings in Leposavic, Zvecan, and Zubin Potok have entered their 26th day, as people express their dissatisfaction with the presence of Kosovo Special Forces, the imposition of illegitimate Albanian mayors, and the unjustified arrests of fellow compatriots that have occurred in recent weeks.
