The prosecution in Pristina has filed an indictment against a Goran for war crimes

The Special Prosecution in Pristina has filed an indictment against S. L., a Goran by nationality, on suspicion of co-perpetrating the criminal act of war crimes against the civilian population of Albanian nationality during the conflict in Kosovo, RTS reports.
The indictment charges him with, in his capacity as a police officer at the police station in Prizren during the war, committing murders, torture, and inhumane treatment of civilians of Albanian nationality in the municipalities of Suva Reka and Orahovac, according to the prosecution's statement.
The investigation revealed that Serbian police forces first arrested the victims in the Suva Reka and Orahovac regions and then transferred them to the police station in Prizren.
"There, the accused interrogated them by torturing them and treating them inhumanely. As a result of the torture, R. J. died, while ten other civilians sustained serious bodily injuries and psychological consequences," the indictment states.
This criminal case has been submitted to the Special Department of the Basic Court in Pristina for further proceedings.
The accused has been placed in custody by order of the pre-trial judge, pending the court's next decision.
