Ristovski: Serbs from Kosovo are the keepers of the flame and the Serbian hearth
Famous Serbian actor, director, and producer Lazar Ristovski emphasized during his visit to Kosovo that Serbs from this region are the true guardians of the Serbian hearth and the "flame of Serbian identity," stressing the need for the unity of the Serbian people.
"I haven't been to Kosovo and Metohija for a long time, and I consider this a solemn occasion. I am honored to be here today because I see you, the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, as the keepers of the flame and the Serbian hearth, no matter where Serbs may be. That is why I deeply bow before you. I believe that all Serbs around the world should take off their hats and pay respect to you in Kosovo and Metohija," Ristovski told Kosovo Online.
Speaking about the differences between Belgrade and Kosovo, he said that the Serbian capital has "become hypocritical and self-absorbed," while Serbs in Kosovo are fighting a real battle for survival.
"I have great respect for your energy and the way you fight for yourselves, for Serbian lands, and for survival here. That is truly commendable. People from Belgrade and other parts of Serbia should visit more often to see what a true fight for Serbian identity looks like," Ristovski stated.
He emphasized the need for unity among Serbs in Kosovo and called for support for the Serbian List political party.
"Unfortunately, there are other lists supported by some Serbs. But I say to them—if they are in doubt, they should simply let go of the pen, and it will know by itself to circle the Serbian List," Ristovski concluded.
