Serb List submits its electoral list to the CEC, headed by Zlatan Elek

The Serb List has submitted its list of candidates to the Central Election Commission (CEC) for the early parliamentary elections scheduled for 28 December.

The head of the list is the party president, Prof. Dr. Zlatan Elek, and the list consists of 33 candidates.

“The Serb List today submitted its list of candidates to the Central Election Commission for the early parliamentary elections to be held on 28 December. The head of the list is President Prof. Dr. Zlatan Elek, and the team consists of 33 candidates—accomplished in both their family and professional lives, people of reputation and expertise who enjoy the respect of the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija. Together—responsibly, united, and in the interest of our people,” the Serb List said in its Instagram post.

Second on the list is Igor Simic, followed by Ljiljana Stefanovic, the court president who recently resigned. They are followed by Slavko Simic and Srdjan Popovic.

Next on the list are Srdjan Popovic, Verica Ceranic, Branislav Nikolic, Milan Kostic, Miljana Nikolic, Nemanja Biševac, and others.

Among the candidates are also Dr. Zvonko Radosavljevic, a surgeon from Leposavic; Sladjana Rasic, President of the Serb List Women’s Union; Dr. Tanja Vujovic, Dean of the Faculty of Economics; Mirjana Dimitrijevic, Director of the Gracanica Health Center; Dr. Ruzica Bozovic, Vice-Dean at the Faculty of Technical Sciences; and Dr. Srdjan Milosavljevic, Vice-Dean for Teaching at the Faculty of Economics.

The Central Election Commission initially did not approve the participation of the Serb List in the early parliamentary elections, as only two CEC members voted in favor of certifying the party, while two voted against and five abstained.

Because of this, the Serb List filed a complaint with the Election Complaints and Appeals Panel, which upheld the complaint, thereby creating the conditions for the party to participate in the electoral process.
