Marko Cadez, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, stated that the unified labor market between Serbia, North Macedonia, and Albania started today, emphasizing that it was truly a revolutionary development for the area, as reported by Euronews.

"After experiencing so many unpleasant things since the 1990s, our countries and peoples are starting to work together," Cadez said.

He highlighted that for the Open Balkan initiative, it was significant that citizens of Serbia could now register and obtain work permits without any issues for working in Albania and North Macedonia.

"This is a big deal for the economy, as we are all facing a shortage of labor, as well as problems in its structure," Cadez noted.

He mentioned that each country lacked workers in certain sectors and that the goal was for countries to exchange labor.

"For the first time in the region, we have decided to be unified," Cadez emphasized.
