Andric Rakic: Easier to move monuments than to face the rage of "party militants" on social media

Program Manager of the NGO New Social Initiative from Kosovo, Milica Andric Rakic, reacted to the relocation of the monument dedicated to the deceased Serbian soldiers from 1912 to 1918 at the Orthodox cemetery in Pristina.
Andric Rakic stated on the social network "X" that Pristina had become a "toxic bubble" where foreign diplomats would rather "rearrange tombstones in a cemetery than face the rage of party militants on social media.
"That’s how bad it has become," Andric Rakic added.
The embassies of France and Germany in Kosovo announced today that, upon their initiative, the memorial plaque for the fallen Serbian soldiers in the Balkan Wars and World War I at the military Orthodox cemetery in Pristina had been moved to make room for a new one in memory of all the fallen fighters between 1912 and 1918.
