The Assembly concluded after eight hours of debate, Kurti: I will never sign the draft of the CSM Statute

The session of the Kosovo Assembly, during which Prime Minister Albin Kurti informed the MPs about the latest discussions in Brussels with EU leaders, France, Germany, and Italy, concluded tonight after eight hours of debate, Telegrafi reported.

Kurti, responding to the MPs, stated that he did not accept the draft of the Statute of the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities and that he would never sign it because it had to be a part of a "package" along with the Basic Agreement and an annex for its implementation, as he emphasized.

He noted that he conveyed his position to Miroslav Lajcak and Josep Borrell, but could not disclose details because they were directly related to the draft of the Community.

He also addressed the events in Banjska on September 24 again.

The opposition criticized Kurti, accusing him of accepting the CSM, which he previously opposed.

The President of the PDK, Memli Krasniqi, stated that Kurti had accepted autonomy for the Serbs.

After the MPs' statements, the Speaker of the Parliament, Glauk Konjufca, concluded today's session, announcing that a new session would be scheduled for the remaining 11 agenda items.
