Bildt: Things will heat up even more when Kosovo applies for EU membership

The former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sweden, Carl Bildt, warns that the tense situation in Kosovo could continue in the coming days, as Pristina has announced its application for EU membership, Reporteri reported.

"Crisis is brewing in northern Kosovo again. Things will also heat up as Kosovo intends to submit its application to the European Union in the coming days," the Swedish diplomat wrote on Twitter.

Before that application moves anywhere, as he added in the statement, there are agreements that must be respected and difficult steps to be taken.
