Bislimi: I received a call from Brussels regarding the CBK decision, and I refused to participate in the meeting

Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo Besnik Bislimi stated that he had received a call from Brussels for a meeting regarding the new regulation of the Central Bank of Kosovo on the dinar, but he had refused to participate, Ekonomia Online reported.

He stated that he would not attend this meeting because "the dinar is not a part of the dialogue".

"There is a request from Brussels to hold a meeting next week on the issue of regulating currency transfers from Serbia to Kosovo, but this is not a meeting that the chief negotiator should attend because the issue of the dinar is not a part of the dialogue. I go when we talk about the dialogue. We will see who will go," he said.

He also blamed the dialogue envoy Miroslav Lajcak for "violating principles" during the call.

"Lajcak sent me a letter because he is constantly communicating with me. But this time, I think he violated the principles he set for himself because it is the first time he has scheduled a meeting without prior agreement with the parties and tried to set the agenda despite the principles he set in 2021 that no topic can be placed on the agenda without the consent of the parties," he said.
