The University will remain in Kosovska Mitrovica, despite misinformation about its relocation, says Prof. Dr. Vladimir Boranijasevic, Vice-Rector for Teaching and Student Affairs at the University of Pristina, temporarily based in Kosovska Mitrovica.

"In response to the increasingly frequent reports and misinformation suggesting that the University of Pristina is being relocated from Kosovska Mitrovica and the territory of Kosovo and Metohija, the extended Rector's Collegium issued a public statement after yesterday's session, confirming that the University is not being relocated and will not be relocated," Boranijasevic emphasized.

He stated that the announcement was issued to reassure the academic and general public, as well as the students of the University.

"The University will remain in Kosovska Mitrovica for the benefit of its students and the citizens of Kosovska Mitrovica. Supporting this is the fact that entrance exams are being held at all faculties within the University, the second enrollment period is ongoing, and all faculties are preparing for the start of the new academic year," said Boranijasevic.

The Rector's Collegium of the University of Pristina, temporarily based in Kosovska Mitrovica, also announced earlier today that this educational institution will remain with its people in the region of Kosovo.
