Brnabic: Kurti is a source of instability; I do not have hope that someone from the West will put too much pressure on him

The world increasingly understands that Pristina and Albin Kurti are a source of instability not only in the Balkans, and Serbia will continue to fight for peace and stability, Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said today, RTV reports.

"We will continue to fight, the diplomatic struggle is daily. President Vucic has daily discussions on this topic with the most important world officials. We are looking for a solution," Brnabic told TV Prva and stated that Pristina has the support of Germany and Great Britain.

She assessed that Kurti and Pristina are acting unilaterally, contrary to the signed agreements, thus causing instability.

She pointed out that such behavior does not have a negative effect on the Serbian economy, where there is still a significant inflow of foreign direct investments.

"Probably because we, thanks to Aleksandar Vucic's policy, managed to address every instability by calming tensions rather than by exacerbating them. When Pristina violates one, we open space for a new agreement. Everyone sees it. Even those who support Kosovo's independence," Brnabic said.

She assessed that Serbia is lowering tensions and opening time for stability in these areas, and that investors, when they continue investing here, are counting on peace and stability. Brnabic pointed out that the Serbs from Kosovo do not have much to rest on.

"They are only asking for what is natural, to respect Brussels and the agreement on the vehicle license plates. No one can accuse them of being a factor of instability. I don't know what would be more natural and normal than what the Serbs in Kosovo and Kosovo were asking for," the prime minister said.

Speaking about what can be expected after November 21, when Pristina will start issuing fines related to the license plates, Brnabic said that she does not have excessive hopes.

"We have to trust in our capacities and our wits. No matter how we preserve peace and stability. That is important for us and for the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija," Brnabic said.

She added that she does not hope that any of the Western countries will put too much pressure on Pristina about the vehicle license plates, and that Serbia can only rely on itself.
