Brnabic: Vucic will face tough talks; we will continue to insist on the CSM

Serbia's Prime Minister, Ana Brnabic, stated today that President Aleksandar Vucic could expect meetings in Brussels that would not be easy. She expressed confidence that the majority in the EU understood that Belgrade was not behind the incidents that had occurred on September 24th in Banjska and that it had not been in Serbia's interest.

"We will continue to insist on the formation of the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities in accordance with the Brussels Agreement, on the security of our people in Kosovo and Metohija, as well as for other non-Albanians, such as Roma people," Brnabic said to reporters in Brussels after meetings with European Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement Oliver Varhelyi and European Commissioner for Home Affairs Ylva Johansson.

She pointed out that scholarships had been taken away from Roma children attending Serbian schools in Kosovo and Metohija, and there was no chance that they would receive scholarships from the Pristina authorities.

She emphasized that there was ongoing and daily repression against the Serbs and all non-Albanians in Kosovo.

"We will fight to ensure that these people have basic living conditions," Brnabic concluded.
