Vucevic: Brnabic informed the world about the real situation in Kosovo at the UN Security Council session
Defense Minister Milos Vucevic stated today that it was significant that Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, during the UN Security Council session, had informed the global public and the UN Security Council about the actual situation in Kosovo, RTV reported.
Vucevic mentioned on TV Prva that Serbia had "utilized" the UN Security Council session to inform the world and representatives of the most important states about the facts concerning the situation in Kosovo.
He added that Brnabic had precisely presented everything happening on the ground in that area and that the key message from her speech was the existence of an ongoing campaign of silent ethnic cleansing of Serbs in Kosovo.
Vucevic noted that everything that had been heard after the UN Security Council session had been expected, and that it could be expected that no state would dramatically change its position on Kosovo.
"It could be expected that those countries that have recognized the so-called Kosovo independence, or those that do not recognize it and respect international public law, would stick to their stance," Vucevic said.
He stated that it was good that Brnabic had had the opportunity to present all the facts, and he added that he did not believe it would significantly change anything, but that it did not mean there should be no effort to fight and speak about it.
"We must utilize every opportunity, and no one should feel disappointed that a super power has not changed its position regarding Kosovo and Metohija after the Prime Minister's presentation," Vucevic emphasized.
