Çitaku: Disgraceful—The KSF is not in the North to fight but to search for the missing young man’s body
Democratic Party of Kosovo official Vlora Çitaku strongly condemned the reactions regarding the presence of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) at Lake Gazivode, stressing that its members were not deployed in the north to engage in combat, but to assist in the search for the body of a young man.
In an emotional Facebook post, Çitaku responded to comments criticizing the KSF’s deployment in the north for the purpose of joining the search mission, questioning whether there was any sense of responsibility.
“You are disgraceful. Do you have any sense of responsibility? Any shred of human decency? How can you exploit the tragic death of a young man for political propaganda?
The KSF did not go to the north to fight, but to help locate the body of a young man who tragically lost his life. Just like before, they acted with dignity and discretion.
While you are editing photos to create a false narrative, you are also trying to retouch history. But you will not succeed. Shame on you,” Çitaku wrote.
The KSF joined the search operation at Gazivode this morning and entered the north with the approval of KFOR.
Several former KSF commanders also confirmed that this was not the first KSF operation in the north, as its members had previously participated in search and rescue missions in that area.
