Cufaj: Kosovo Government is discussing the CSM formation with international partners

The former Kosovo ambassador in Berlin, Beqe Cufaj, said that Kosovo Government was discussing with international partners the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities establishment and added that the CSM was Kosovo's obligation, the Albanian Post reports.

"Kosovo is negotiating regarding the CSM establishment, and that is good. I respect Kurti's right to confidentiality, to not talk about this topic, even about the meetings with the envoys of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and French President Emmanuel Macron, as well as US Secretary of State Antony Blinken," Cufaj said.

He pointed out that Kosovo had to accept the CSM "no matter how painful it is".

"International partners will provide guarantees for the CSM. Don't forget, no one is forcing us to go against the Constitutional Court's final decision," Cufaj added.

According to him, it will cost Kurti if he tries to deal with internal politics on a sensitive topic such as talks with Serbia.

"I hope he learned that lesson from his predecessors," Cufaj said.
