Prominent Albanian journalist and analyst Frrok Cupi says for Kosovo Online that Prime Minister Albin Kurti no longer has friends or allies in the United States.

Cupi commented on the Kosovo Prime Minister's position toward requests for de-escalation coming from the US and pointed out that he did not believe Kurti wanted to solve the issue in the northern part of Kosovo.

"I don't believe Kurti has the desire to address that issue. Kurti can't survive without conflict; he can't govern in any other way except through conflict. He needs to label Serbia as the culprit for everything. If it's raining, it's because of Serbia; if the sun is shining, it's because of Serbia; if he's lucky in Pristina, then Serbia is good; but otherwise, he says, Serbia is to blame," Cupi states.

He emphasizes that Kurti can't govern when the situation is normal because, as he points out, Kurti has no desire for normalization at all.

"Secondly, Kurti no longer has any friends in the United States, his government no longer has allies in the United States," Cupi concluded.
