Dacic: More than 100 Albanians engaged in the UN on behalf of Serbia

Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic stated today that, excluding the UNMIK mission, out of the 240 individuals engaged in the United Nations on behalf of Serbia, 108 or 114 are Albanians, Beta reported.

According to Dacic, these Albanians are in the UN as citizens of Serbia and declare themselves as such "only when it's convenient for them."

"I said that you Albanians are hypocrites; you don't want to go to Serbia, but you squeezed as much money as you could from it, and now you want your own state," Dacic said for Pink TV.

Dacic pointed out that Albanians have their own country, Albania, and that independence is sought when a people don't have their own state.
"If Kosovo can seek and receive independence, why wouldn't Republika Srpska be able to do the same?" Dacic asked.

Commenting on the upcoming meeting of Serbian and Kosovo leaders Aleksandar Vucic and Albin Kurti in Brussels, Dacic reiterated that without the formation of the Community of Serb Municipalities in Kosovo, there could be no further implementation of the agreements.

"But it is important to be smart and do everything to preserve peace. We are not afraid of either Kurti or Gervalla; the international community should be afraid of them," the foreign minister said.

He also reiterated that he was for Serbia joining the European Union, but with the preservation of territorial integrity and sovereignty.

Dacic added that 27 out of 28 Serbian citizens who requested evacuation had been evacuated from unrest-stricken Sudan with the help of the United Nations, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates.
