Dacic with Petrides: We are grateful for the Cyprus’s support to Serbia on the Kosovo and Metohija issue

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic spoke today with the Minister of Defense of Cyprus Charalambos Petrides about mutual support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the two states, as well as about deepening bilateral relations.

As stated in the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the conversation confirmed that the challenges of the two countries coincided largely, and that joint action was needed to successfully overcome them.

Dacic expressed his gratitude for the support that Cyprus provides to the Republic of Serbia on the issue of Kosovo, in all international forums, as well as for the support of Cyprus on the Serbia's path to the EU.

"The Ministers agreed that there is great potential for the development of cooperation between the two friendly countries, not only in the field of defense, but also in the field of economy, science, tourism and sports, as well as that in the coming period they will actively work on intensifying cooperation in all fields of common interest," the Ministry's announcement states.
