Vucic: Kurti may go to Brussels whenever he wants, safe travels
President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic reiterated that the issue of the Kosovo status was over for him, in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations and UN Security Council Resolution 1244, Pink TV channel reported.
Commenting on Albin Kurti's statement that he will not go to Brussels just for license plates but for a comprehensive agreement on mutual recognition, Vucic said:
"Okay. He may go to Brussels when he wants and however he wants, it is his will".
Kurti said for the German newspaper "Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung" that he would not go to Brussels to negotiate the issue of license plates but for the sake of a comprehensive agreement, which, as he said, must be reached before the spring of 2023.
"Did he say that as far as he was concerned, the status issue was over... And as far as I am concerned, the status issue has been over for a long time, in accordance with the UN Charter and UN Security Council Resolution 1244. I wish him safe travels to Brussels," Vucic said.
