Dacic: The pressure of the international community is of key importance for the formation of the CSM

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Ivica Dacic, said today in Paris, after a meeting with the head of French diplomacy, Catherine Colonna, that the pressure of the international community would be of decisive importance in order to force the authorities in Pristina to fulfill their obligations and form the Community of Serbian Municipalities, reports RTV.

Everything else, says Dacic, would be rewarding of Pristina - visa liberalization, or the start of the procedure for membership in the Council of Europe.

He conveyed Serbia's views on the situation in Kosovo to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of France.

"Colonna said that they hope, and I don't think it would be good if they only hope, because we were hoping 10 years ago, but to force Pristina to implement the formation of the Community of Serbian Municipalities and that this would be a contribution to the normalization of our relations" Dacic pointed out.

He stated that 10 years have passed since the signing of the Brussels Agreement, which is "a dead letter on paper" for now.

"Serbia is disappointed that Catherine Ashton's signature on that document meant nothing and that we will very soon be faced with the answer, especially after that May 2nd and the high-level meeting in Brussels, whether Kurti really wants to form the Community of Serbian municipality. Our opinion is that he does not want that and that he wants to expel Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija," said Dacic.

He added that Minister Colonna promised to come to Serbia, as well as that France supports the entire Western Balkans being part of the European Union.
