Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic assessed today that the text of the portal of the German newspaper "Zeit" in which it was stated that the European Union could only "tame" President Aleksandar Vucic with a firm hand, exposed the policy of that country and the West in relation to Serbia, as well as that they did know Vucic, TV Happy reports.

"Disciplining and, as they say, taming Vucic because of the independent and sovereign policy he leads - this also shows that they do not know Vucic, because, in addition to economic results, he is most proud of the fact that Serbia is a country with an independent and sovereign policy that he leads in its interest, and not at the expense of foreign centers of power, anywhere in the world," commented Dacic for Tanjug.

Those powerful people, adds Dacic, cannot understand that Vucic most of all does not tolerate foreign influence, pressure and blackmail.

"The sooner they realize that, the better for peace and stability in the region," said Dacic.

As reported by Deutsche Welle, the German "Zeit" stated that the European Union could only "tame" Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic with a firm hand, claiming that he led a policy that harmed the EU, the region and the Serbs themselves.

It is added that candidate status and funds should be frozen until sanctions against Russia are introduced and serious negotiations with Pristina begin.
