Delevic: The Ibar–Lepenac case is based on assumptions, without a single piece of evidence
The defense attorney of Dragisa Vicentijevic – suspected of the attack on the Ibar–Lepenac canal – lawyer Milos Delevic, told Kosovo Online that the entire process is based on assumptions, without a single piece of evidence.
Delevic states that Vicentijevic has been in detention for a long time, based on a decision of the Special Department of the Basic Court in Pristina, which relies solely on assumptions and alleged suspicions that have not been confirmed by concrete evidence.
"In the ruling, the reasons for detention mention criminal acts of endangering the constitutional order, destroying public installations, as well as alleged ties to serious criminal offenses, including the heaviest legal qualifications such as terrorism. However, to this day, despite numerous actions undertaken by the prosecution, not a single material piece of evidence has been presented to confirm such accusations," Delevic emphasizes.
He appealed for an end to media speculation.
"We expect the investigation to be conducted transparently, without media speculation and without violating the presumption of innocence," Delevic said.
