Demaku: If the Assembly is not formed within 30 days, it will be a deliberate blockade of institutions
PDK MP Fadil Demaku stated that if the Self-Determination Movement does not take steps to constitute the Assembly of Kosovo within 30 days, it will represent a deliberate blockade of institutions, Teve 1 reports.
Demaku said that the Self-Determination Movement has enough time and alternatives to act in accordance with the Constitution.
“With this ruling, with the situation clarified by the Constitutional Court, if 30 days is not enough to constitute the Assembly, I cannot see this in any other way than as a deliberate blockade of the country’s institutions — that someone deliberately wants to harm their own country, because there are many ways, so many alternatives and room for action and for constituting the Assembly stemming from the latest decision of the Constitutional Court,” Demaku told Teve 1.
He added that if MPs do not reflect after the ruling, then they do not deserve to be representatives of the people.
“If after this ruling MPs do not reflect on their leaders, and above all on Albin Kurti — and that includes himself — then we do not deserve to be representatives of the people at all,” Demaku concluded.
