Muharremi: Self-Determination like a teenager who has no responsibility for its actions

Analyst Shenoll Muharremi compared the reactions of Self-Determination Movement representatives to the Constitutional Court’s decision to the behavior of teenagers, as they were, he said, so dramatic, radicalized, and rebellious.

“How can you say two days ago ‘we respect the Constitutional Court’s decision,’ and then, as soon as you don’t like what you read, become so radical? What kind of politics and positions are these, when you attack everyone and everything but offer nothing as a solution? You don’t even have the will to form a parliamentary majority to put an end to the crisis,” Muharremi wrote on Facebook.

He assessed that Self-Determination is responsible for the current situation.

“We are not in 2020, when people were tired of the system that had ruled for so long. Self-Determination has governed for only four or five years, and they are the main ones responsible for the current situation. This childish rebellion may have an emotional effect on those who don’t see the facts and don’t use reason, but with such an approach, the party will surely lose its future,” he stated.

He compared the ruling party’s behavior to that of children and teenagers who are not yet responsible for their actions and do not understand the consequences.

“A serious, major, and credible party never behaves this way. In fact, this is a typical response and behavior of the opposition, not of the government. What we are seeing now is far too outdated and does not meet the needs of Kosovo’s present or future,” Muharremi concluded.

The Self-Determination Movement stated yesterday that the Constitutional Court’s decision represents a dangerous departure from its constitutional role and is contrary to the fundamental principles of the rule of law and the separation of powers.
