Detained Serbs - Pantic with his family, Trajkovic without therapy, a detention extension demanded for Adzic

One of the main demands of the Serbs who protested at the barricades in the north of Kosovo for 20 days was the release of the arrested former police officers Dejan Pantic and Sladjan Trajkovic and the civilian Miljan Adzic. Pantic is now under house arrest with his family, until January 9, Trajkovic is detained in Podujevo without the necessary therapy, while the prosecution requested an extension of custody for another two months for Adzic, RTS reports.

The wife of Dejan Pantic, who is accused of war crimes, says that she is happy that the family spent the holidays together. She points out that her husband, who is under house arrest, has a CVD and is not feeling well.

"Right now, he's not well mentally. He's full of fear, he's irritable, and that's all because of the time he spent in Jarinje in that supposedly detention unit, all of that affected him," said Suzana Pantic.

Dejan Pantic's lawyer expects that the prosecution will request the extension of house arrest beyond January 9.

"He is absolutely sure that he is not guilty, although he is a little worried, because the punishment provided for that criminal offense is quite severe, but he firmly believes, and I have every reason to believe that he is not guilty and that the prosecution will not be able to prove anything during the upcoming investigation," said Ljubomir Pantovic.

Former member of the Kosovo police Sladjan Trajkovic was arrested on December 16 and also accused of war crimes.
He worked in the integrated police since 2013. The family can visit him for 15 days and they say that, as a diabetic, he does not receive the necessary therapy in detention in Podujevo.

"On Wednesday, I'm going to see him, I'll tell him to hold on and take care, we believe in him, we know he's innocent, it's our fault that we're Serbs, that's it," said Suzana Trajkovic, Sladjan Trajkovic's wife.

Trajkovic's lawyer, Dejan Vasic, says that in custody in Podujevo, they do not allow medicines with a Serbian stamp.

"In that detention center in Podujevo, it is not allowed to bring medicines that have a Serbian tax stamp, and those medicines do not exist in Kosovo, and then the problem is to bring in adequate therapy, there are several detainees and convicts there who have a problem with obtaining medicines." Vasic said.

Both police officers were arrested after they left the Kosovo Police Service.

"Thanks to the state, thanks to this people of the north who were with us all the time, thanks to the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, President Vucic, we overcame this much easier than if we were alone," said Suzana Pantic.

The third person arrested, Miljan Adzic, was accused of assaulting an official during the protest of Serbs.
According to his lawyer, the Prosecutor's Office requested that the detention be extended for another two months.
