Mijacic: The return of Serbs to institutions depends on the formation of the CSM

Dragiša Mijačić

There is one view that Serbia has and which is in accordance with the Brussels Agreement, and it implies that the CSM is formed before starting any further actions, said the coordinator of the National Convention on the EU for Chapter 35, Dragisa Mijacic, Euronews reports.

"On the other hand, we have requests coming from Kosovo, that the CSM can be formed only when Serbia formally recognizes the independence of Kosovo, and this has been pointed out several times by Albin Kurti," Mijacic said.

Mijacic reminded that the request for the formation of the CSM was a condition for the return of Serbs to the institutions.

"Now there is another issue that is very complex and very difficult, and that is the return of the Serbs to the institutions. In order to return the Serbs to the institutions, it is necessary to form the CSM, and from there we can hear the statements of various diplomatic representatives, primarily those who come from the EU and the US, but also others, that the formation of the CSM is an obligation that Pristina has taken on and that it will have to proceed with the formation of the community," Mijacic said.
