Djuric and Konrad discuss bilateral relations between Serbia and Germany

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Marko Djuric, met today with the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Serbia, H.E. Anke Konrad, to discuss the advancement of bilateral relations, Serbia’s European integration process, and economic cooperation between the two countries.

In a cordial and friendly exchange, Minister Djuric noted that bilateral relations between Serbia and Germany are good, and that Serbia is clearly committed to further strengthening cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.

He reiterated that full membership in the European Union remains Serbia’s strategic goal and a key foreign policy priority. This entails the continued implementation of the reform agenda, as well as efforts to enhance good-neighborly relations throughout the Western Balkans.

The Minister observed that economic cooperation between Serbia and Germany is highly developed, and expressed hope that political cooperation will also gain new momentum in the period ahead through the exchange of high-level visits.

He emphasized the importance of presenting the Serbian-German partnership to the public in an accurate and constructive manner, noting that Germany, as a cornerstone of the European Union, remains one of Serbia’s key strategic partners.
