Djuric with Borrell: Serbs in Kosovo are enduring unbearable pressure due to Pristina's unilateral measures

Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric met today in Austria with the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, following the meeting of foreign ministers from the informal group "Friends of the Western Balkans."

Djuric emphasized that Belgrade is fully committed to dialogue with Pristina under the EU's auspices, noting that at this moment, it is essential to ensure the safety of the Serbian population and to implement all obligations from the agreements reached so far without further delay.

Highlighting the extremely difficult situation regarding Kosovo, Djuric pointed out that Serbs are enduring unbearable pressure as a result of the culmination of long-standing and systematic unilateral actions by the Pristina authorities, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Serbian Foreign Minister stressed that EU membership is a strategic commitment and a priority of Serbia's foreign policy, indicating that the country shares European values and advocates for them, and wants to contribute to the peace, stability, and prosperity of Europe.

Speaking about the importance of regional cooperation, the minister underlined that Serbia pays great attention to its improvement and the cultivation of high-quality neighborly relations, particularly emphasizing that for Serbia, the preservation of peace and stability in the region is of key interest.
