Djuric with Landau: Serbia attaches special importance to the development of a strategic partnership with the US

Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric met in Washington with US Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau, to whom he conveyed that Serbia attaches special importance to the development of a strategic partnership and overall relations with the United States of America.

Djuric expressed satisfaction that he shares the same enthusiasm with Landau regarding relations between Serbia and the United States, the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

The Minister emphasized that Serbia attaches special importance to developing a strategic partnership and overall relations with the United States, which are among Serbia's key foreign policy partners.

He also noted that direct meetings with senior US officials are important for regular and substantive exchanges of views.

The meeting also touched upon preserving energy security and the issue of the operation of the Petroleum Industry of Serbia (NIS), and all aspects of the current situation in which Serbia's energy sector finds itself were considered.
