Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Djuric today hosted the head of the OSCE Mission in Serbia, Jan Braathu, for a farewell visit.

During their meeting, Djuric expressed deep concern over the situation in Kosovo, emphasizing that only international presence, in adherence to international law, can guarantee the safety of all citizens.

Djuric stated that Serbia supports the work of the OSCE Mission in Kosovo, which operates in accordance with its mandate based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244.

He highlighted that the situation in Kosovo is a cause for profound concern, adding that only strong international presence, which respects international law, can ensure the security of all citizens.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Djuric thanked Braathu for his dedicated and professional leadership of the Mission, as well as for everything accomplished during his tenure. He wished him great success in his upcoming position within the Organization.

Djuric noted that the OSCE represents a highly significant security platform for dialogue and affirmed that Serbia remains a reliable partner, fully committed to promoting peace, security, and stability.

The Minister also emphasized the excellent cooperation and partnership with the OSCE Mission in Serbia, particularly highlighting the importance of the Mission’s support for the comprehensive reform process.
