Djuric spoke with Saar: Serbia supports the initiation of a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah
Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Djuric spoke today with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel, Gideon Saar, expressing his hope that the relations between the two countries will continue to develop on the foundations of traditional understanding and friendship.
According to Djuric, Serbia and Israel have developed increasingly productive political and economic ties in recent years, and there is a strong interest from the Serbian side in further enhancing these relations and opening new areas of bilateral cooperation, as the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.
During the phone conversation, Djuric highlighted Serbia's support for the initiation of a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah, expressing hope that this marks the beginning of de-escalation in southern Lebanon and the Middle East.
In addition to discussing the Middle East situation, the ministers also touched on other geopolitical and global security issues, affirming their commitment to maintaining regular contact and communication.
In his first phone call with Israel's new Foreign Minister, Djuric congratulated Saar on assuming his position and wished him a successful mandate in a time of significant challenges for the State of Israel and its citizens.
