Drecun: United Kingdom can contribute the most to Kosovo on the military front
President of the Assembly Committee for Kosovo and Metohija, Milovan Drecun, stated that the United Kingdom could contribute the most to Kosovo on the military front, as reported by Pink.
Speaking about the seizure of a larger quantity of weapons at the Merdare crossing, Drecun mentioned that there were channels for smuggling weapons that were common, carried out by members of Albanian groups connected to Serbia in central Serbia.
"It is interesting that it happened two days after the visit of the British Foreign Minister, accompanied by Stuart Peach, an expert in intelligence activities," Drecun noted.
Drecun emphasizes that Britain's goal is to complete the job, but he believes their capacity is exhausted.
"Britain can contribute the most to the so-called Kosovo on the military front. The United States and Turkey are responsible for arming the so-called Kosovo Security Force, while Britain is responsible for training," Drecun pointed out.
According to him, they want to accelerate the formation of the Kosovo army to gain control over the north.
Career diplomat Zoran Milivojevic stated that pressures regarding Kosovo had been ongoing for the past year but that they had significantly increased at the end of last year, before the elections.
"It is worth reminding of the EU Council session and the intention to incorporate the Ohrid Agreement into Chapter 35 by the end of January. Regardless of nothing happening, holidays are ongoing, that deadline is approaching, and pressures exist," Milivojevic stated for Pink.
He added that the pressures aimed to "force Serbia to do what it cannot and to abolish itself."
Milivojevic mentioned that pressures regarding Kosovo, as well as objections to the electoral process, which were unfounded, came from the same center.
