EC: Serbian President’s visit to Ukraine an “important signal”

The European Commission welcomed the visit of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic to Ukraine, describing it as an “important signal.”

“We welcome President Vucic’s visit to Ukraine. It is an important signal,” EC Spokesperson Markus Lammert said at a press conference at the EC headquarters.

He emphasized that the European Commission encourages candidate countries to remain united with the EU in their policy toward Russian aggression in Ukraine.

He also reiterated the EC’s call for a full ceasefire lasting at least 30 days to reduce civilian suffering and create space for peace negotiations.
