MFA extends Europe Day greetings: EU accession remains Serbia’s strategic commitment

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia extended its congratulations on the occasion of Europe Day to all citizens of the European Union and candidate countries, emphasizing that accession to the EU remains Serbia’s strategic commitment.

"On the occasion of Europe Day, Serbia conveys its warmest congratulations to all citizens of the European Union and candidate countries, with the conviction that the ideas on which one of the most successful peace projects in human history was founded will continue to inspire future generations. EU accession remains Serbia’s strategic commitment and the key driver of reform processes in our country. Our ambition is to be fully prepared for membership in the European family by the end of 2026," the Ministry stated.

The Ministry further affirmed that Serbia shares European values:

"We are committed to building a society founded on the rule of law, democracy, and respect for human rights—values that we, as an old European nation, genuinely share. Together with our European partners, we aspire to build peace, stability, and prosperity for all the peoples of Europe," the statement concluded.
