The President of the Serb List, Zlatan Elek, stated today that even before the campaign for the parliamentary elections in Kosovo began, orchestrated attacks from Pristina on the Serb List had started. According to him, the sole reason for these attacks is that the Serb List serves as a bastion for defending Serbian interests in Kosovo.

"As you can see, the official campaign for the parliamentary elections scheduled for February 9 hasn’t even started yet, and the orchestrated attacks on the Serb List have already begun. The Serb List is the only Serbian party under attack from Pristina and its supporters, and this is for one reason only: the Serb List represents a bastion that defends the Serbian people here in the territory of Kosovo and Metohija," Elek stated.

Responding to accusations made by Kosovo Minister Nenad Rasic against the Serb List, Elek reminded that Rasic became a minister in the Kosovo government thanks to an appointment by Albin Kurti and that he did not win a single vote from the Serbs in Kosovo.

"We know we are on the right path when we are attacked by Kurti and Rasic. This is the same Rasic who voted to confiscate land from Serbian landowners in Zubin Potok and Leposavic, the same Rasic who voted for Serbs to participate in the Kosovo Security Force, who called on Serbs in Albanian, and, let us not forget, refused to vote against the museum that portrays the entire state of Serbia and the Serbian people as genocidal. He did this because the Serbian people do not support him. I would also like to remind all our compatriots that he became a minister in the Kosovo government without a single Serbian vote, no Serbian compatriot voted for him. He was appointed as a so-called minister by Albin Kurti. If he had any honor, he would not have accepted that position, but I fear that for him, the word 'honor' is merely an abstract concept. Additionally, I want to send a message to all our compatriots that today, more than ever, it is crucial that we remain united and take maximum responsibility, as elections are not a game," Elek concluded.
