German Mission to NATO: Kosovo and the Western Balkans remain a strategic priority

A peaceful, stable, and multiethnic Kosovo and Western Balkans remain a strategic priority for Germany, the German Mission to NATO stated for Kosovo Online.

They emphasized that KFOR and the NATO Advisory and Liaison Team (NALT) play a key role in ensuring security and stability in Kosovo.

"Germany currently contributes more than 300 soldiers as part of KFOR and NALT. Recently, Germany extended the deployment of our operational company within KFOR until 2027. At this stage, there are no immediate plans to increase the number of German troops in KFOR," the Mission stated for our portal.
