Giaufret: Uncoordinated actions by Pristina do not contribute to progress, but create tensions

The head of the European Union delegation in Serbia, Emanuele Giaufret, pointed out that a series of uncoordinated actions by Pristina do not contribute to progress but instead create additional tensions on the ground, and he emphasized the need to return to implementing agreed-upon agreements and to form the CSM.
"We have seen that Pristina has taken a series of uncoordinated actions, which do not contribute to progress and create tensions on the ground. We have been very clear in our public statements and private conversations, but the key issue is that we must return to implementing what was agreed upon last year and in previous years, including fulfilling all obligations, among which is the formation of the Community of Serb Municipalities," Giaufret said for RTS.
Regarding the closure of Serbian institutions in northern Kosovo, he stressed that for the EU, it is essential to ensure that people living in Kosovo receive necessary services, have a normal life, and have access to everything they need.
"That is the position of the EU, and we will use the Growth Plan to move in the right direction when it comes to the normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina," he said.
As he added, the normalization of relations is one of the key issues for European integration.
"We are certain that the process of normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina has always been a crucial factor in the negotiations, and it will remain so. Even in the context of the Growth Plan, we expect both sides to fulfill all obligations on the path to normalization, including all agreements from last year," Giaufret said.
