UNMIK: Actions of the Kosovo police affect security, stability, and peace
The UNMIK mission stated, following discussions between representatives of the Serb List and the head of UNMIK in Kosovo, Caroline Ziadeh, that the actions of the Kosovo Police in the north are impacting the socioeconomic rights of affected communities, as well as security, stability, and peace.
"These actions affect the socioeconomic rights of the impacted communities and the well-being of all individuals. They also undermine efforts to build trust between different communities and to maintain security, stability, and peace," the statement said on the social network "X."
It was emphasized that the representatives of the Serb List conveyed to Ziadeh their deep concern over unilateral actions and called for all open issues to be resolved through dialogue.
"Following the operations of the Kosovo Police in institutions funded by Serbia in North Mitrovica, Zubin Potok, Zvecan, and Leposavic, Ziadeh met with the leadership of the Serb List. The Serb List expressed its deep concern over these unilateral actions and reiterated its calls for open issues to be discussed constructively and in good faith within the EU-led dialogue," the statement concluded.
