Hasani: It is certain that the lawsuit for genocide would not be successful; they would be doing Serbia a favor

Former President of the Constitutional Court, Enver Hasani, says that he is against Kosovo filing a lawsuit against Serbia for genocide because according to him, that would be the greatest service to Serbia, Reporteri reports.

Hasani says that filing a lawsuit would nullify the decision of the International Court of Justice on the declaration of Kosovo's independence because according to him, that lawsuit is doomed to failure.

"If a lawsuit against Serbia for genocide is indeed initiated, it would be the greatest service that can be done to the Serbian state, because such a step would annul the decision of the ICJ on independence and we would actually have a one to one result, because it is certain that the lawsuit would not be successful," Hasani said.

Almost two years have passed since Prime Minister Albin Kurti stated that Kosovo had started working on preparing a lawsuit for genocide.
