The US ambassador to Serbia, Christopher Hill, pointed out that the most urgent thing now was to resolve the issue of the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities.

Hill, for Beta News Agency, assessed that Belgrade and Pristina had shown at the meeting in Brussels that they were "very serious about moving forward".

"I think that it is most urgent to solve the issue of the CSM and there are several reasons for that, one of them is that the issue has been there for 10 years, and secondly, I think that if we start with it, people (the Serbs in Kosovo) will return to the institutions We are trying to calm down the whole situation because it is necessary," the American ambassador said.

He pointed out that a lot of work still needed to be done, but that the most important part of the work was the implementation of the agreement.

Hill also said that everyone understood how important the issue of negotiations between Belgrade and Pristina was.

"And with importance comes urgency, they have to solve it," he said.

According to him, the European Union invested a lot of effort in reaching an agreement that is of "historical importance".

"It's one of the most important things happening in Europe right now, I don't think we want to go slow but as fast as possible," Hill said.

He said that the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina was one of the issues that affected the further investment of American companies in Serbia because peace and stability were most important to them.

"What American companies are most interested in when investing anywhere is the issue of peace and stability. That's why I think companies will follow issues like the dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade because such issues can help a lot in attracting more investments," Hill said.

Peace and stability, he added, made Serbia "such a valuable destination for investments."

He emphasized that American companies, which mainly operated in Serbia in the technological sector, were satisfied with the climate, but also with the young people who worked for them.

"American companies are impressed by Serbia, by the work of young people. First of all, because American companies are in the technology sector where young people work more often," he said, adding that there were many opportunities for new investments.

He pointed out that he was in constant contact with companies from the US that operated in Serbia, and that he had not heard any negative comments.
