Hovenier: Kosovo and Serbia must implement the agreements they signed, including the CSM

US Ambassador to Kosovo Jeffrey Hovenier said that Kosovo and Serbia must implement the agreements they signed through the dialogue process, Ekonomia Online reports.

Hovenier added that it included progress toward the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities establishment.

The head of the US Embassy in Kosovo said that they supported the dialogue led by the EU, adding that they were "encouraged that both Serbia and Kosovo have accepted the EU's proposal in principle."

"We strongly support the EU proposal that is on the table. We expect the two leaders to present this proposal at their next meeting. Through dialogue, Serbia and Kosovo must reach a comprehensive agreement. We believe that normalized relations should focus on possible mutual recognition. Progress in the dialogue will open the door to European integration and is crucial for security and stability in the Western Balkans," Hovenier stated for Klan Kosova.

Hovenier said that he strongly encouraged Kosovo Serbs to return to Kosovo institutions as soon as possible in order to improve security and stability for all citizens.
