Vucic about the meeting in Brussels: I will stick to everything I said
The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, pointed out tonight that at the next meeting within the dialogue with Kosovo, he would stick to everything he had said at the session of the Assembly on Kosovo.
Vucic, after visiting the Tourism Fair in Belgrade, was asked whether he expected that something would be signed at the meeting in Brussels on Monday and whether Serbia would remain on the previous red lines, he emphasized that everything he had said in the Parliament was valid.
"Take it easy, everything I said in the Assembly is valid. Many difficult nights lie ahead of us. We will stick to everything I said in the Assembly, no matter what and no matter how," he underlined.
When asked if he had addressed anyone regarding the construction of bases in the north of Kosovo, he said that he personally had done so in a conversation with people from KFOR, with EU envoy Miroslav Lajcak, EU High Representative Josep Borrell, and all the international representatives he had spoken with.
"I know that from the Serb List to the Office for Kosovo and Metohija we sent in writing to all addresses. I have signed several letters to non-recognizing states," Vucic said.
Asked if he had spoken with the Ukrainian leader in the past year, Vucic said that he had had the opportunity to meet with representatives of Ukraine.
"I was sitting next to Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal. Ukraine is a friendly country to us. We have nothing against Ukraine, on the contrary. We stand in solidarity with the Ukrainian people. I also sat with the head of the Ukrainian diplomacy, Dmytro Kuleba, in New York. I spoke with the ambassador of Ukraine, visited Ukrainian refugees in Vranje, and delivered multiple aids in medicines and ambulances. I don't see what would be the problem in Serbia's behavior. Except that Serbia does not want to show hostile actions toward Russia. We want peace, that is Serbia's desire and policy," Vucic said.
