Hovenier: We informed Kurti that the Quint does not support changing the Ibar Bridge status

The United States Ambassador, Jeffrey Hovenier, stated after a meeting that representatives of the Quint countries held with Kosovo's Prime Minister Albin Kurti that they currently cannot support any change in the status of the bridge on the Ibar, Kosova Press reports.

"Following instructions from the capitals, representatives of France, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, and the United States met today with Prime Minister Kurti to inform him that our governments, in agreement with NATO, cannot support any change in the current status of the bridge in Mitrovica at this time," Hovenier said.

However, the US Ambassador did not want to provide more details about the meeting.
