Inspectors with the assistance of Kosovo Police entered the premises of the Republic Fund for Pension and Health Insurance in North Mitrovica

Members of the North Mitrovica municipal inspection entered today the premises of the Republic Fund for Pension and Health Insurance, located on Kolasinska Street. The inspection action was assisted by members of the Kosovo Police, who were deployed in and around the premises.

According to information obtained by the Kosovo Online portal, the police ordered employees of the Pension and Disability Insurance Fund to leave their workplaces, and the reasons for such actions have not yet been officially announced.

Immediately after entering the building, Serbian flags were removed from it.

Police presence on the ground has been increased, and citizens are currently not allowed to enter these premises.

Several members of the British KFOR are also present, gathering information from the fund’s employees outside the premises about what is happening.

The Director of the Republic Fund of Health Insurance branch in North Mitrovica, Radovan Kovacevic, is inside the fund’s premises.
